You know I'm going to give it to you straight and will be turning up the heat so don't even try to hide behind the cabana or make any excuses not to pay attention... you might want to pooh-pooh me and blow me off but the planetary vibes will have no problem burning your derrière if you try. You might as well admit that Galaxo rules! AND ... Remember if you want a more complete forecast and are too cheap to consult a professional astrologer (and you know you are) you can also read the sign that marks your Ascendant (if you know it... But only if you don't have intercepted houses in your natal chart which throws that concept off). The Summer Solstice occurs when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer on June 21, 7:28 am EDT and ends when the Sun enters the sign of Libra during the Autumnal Equinox which occurs on Sept 22, 11:09 pm EDT. There will be two Moon Wobbles this season. The first Wobble takes place on June 22-July 13 (peaking on July 3) and the second on September 21-October 10 (peaking on September 30). By way of explanation, Moon Wobbles come into effect when the transiting Sun makes contact with the Lunar Nodes by conjunction or square aspect. This occurs about four times a year. Moon Wobble energy is akin to a kind of demented Mercury retrograde. Folks tend to make decisions based on emotions rather than fact and reality so the period is not a good time to make major life changing decisions if possible. Both Wobbles connect with the Cancer/Capricorn Nodal Axis and will generally affect issues of security both material and emotional. The first Wobble will generate situations from the "past" and will wax retrospective by nature. The second Wobble will be more reactive causing emotional frustration. Try not to make hasty decisions at that time.
There are two eclipses this season - a Lunar Eclipse and a Solar Eclipse. The Lunar Eclipse occurs on June 26 at 4˚Capricorn 46'. Lunar Eclipse effects are subtle operating on an emotional or instinctual level. This eclipse conjoins transiting Pluto in Capricorn and for the next six months it will bring about insight as to how to use power in an emotional way. Rather than concern your ‘self' with power over others why not focus more on self empowerment? This includes issues surrounding respect, protocol and taking proper responsibility. During this eclipse, try not to worry excessively about money or status. You may also feel that your personal image is suffering in some way. You'll most likely find that you are being a bit more security conscious or conservative in your thinking which you should certainly put to good use when planning for the immediate future. Watch your appetite as folks tend to like to eat more than they should during an Earth element eclipse as well as your spending habits. Above all try to laugh a little and be silly... Capricornian energy is conducive to some wicked humor.
The Solar Eclipse on July 11 at 19˚Cancer 24' will coincide with the tail end of the June/July Moon Wobble. All Solar Eclipses have both an immediate and long term effect. The long term effect remains activated until the time of next Solar Eclipse which in this case is January 4, 2011. It is very important to remember that even though eclipses have notorious reputations they do not cause events. It is always up to the individual to determine how to use the energy generated by an eclipse and to strive to make positive changes. An eclipse always occurs in a particular house of an individual chart and this dictates its strongest influence particularly if it is connected to a natal planet or point but IN GENERAL this eclipse energy points to money situations and issues of dependence on others. Try not to meddle in the affairs of others and avoid manipulation. If romance is engaged at this time beware of clingy types. Be sensitive of your environment and be kind to Mother Earth. This eclipse energy can be well used for a variety of forms of research, occult or metaphysical studies and creative work. Avoid clandestine activities and illegal behaviors because secrets that you think are well kept will be revealed at the next eclipse and you don't want to get caught with your pants down.
Everyone's astro-favorite (NOT!!!), Mercury retrograde will take place on August 21-September 12. The good news is that it will not coincide with the Moon Wobbles but the combination of all of them running so close together may cause folks to think that things are working backwards longer than usual. Mercury will be traversing the sign of Virgo during this retrograde. Mercury retrograde in Virgo has a peculiar way of influencing chaos to whatever we view as reliable and useful. It represents a time when all of us can't seem to produce as effectively as we would like regardless of how well we are prepared. Virgo of course is the sign of organization so use this period to do just that! Streamline your life, do your filing, throw out junk and donate what you don't need to charity. Stick with those projects that are not finished and don't start any new projects unless it is absolutely essential. Writers can find the transit useful for review of work that they hopefully brought to provisional completion before the retrograde started. Don't ignore health issue regarding yourself or your pets... get them checked out! Spend at least ten minutes a day doing absolutely nothing but relaxing. If you can't find ten minutes to relax then you better take a long hard look at the quality of your life and start planning some changes. Talk to yourself during the day - everyone acts a little nuts during this particular retrograde anyway! Lend someone a hand who really needs it. Back up all of your computer files, leave earlier for appointments, allow more time for deadlines and exert caution while traveling. Expect the mail to be late. Expect clients to be late. Expect more demands on your time and expertise. Expect to feel discombobulated and quite screwy and try to enjoy it after all - this transit gives you the perfect excuse.
Transit Saturn went into direct motion in the sign of Virgo at the end of May and will remain in that sign until July 21 when it shifts into the sign of Libra. While direct in Virgo, Saturn can lend a practical slant to thinking and also urges realism and good planning that is progressive. Saturn is considered exalted in the sign of Libra and the focus of this energy is on networking and relationships and some structured and hard core lessons connected to those potentials. In mid-August transiting Jupiter and Saturn will oppose one another and everyone will be re-thinking responsibility. Transit Jupiter will remain in the sign of Aries until September 8 when it retros back into Pisces. While traveling in Aries, Jupiterian energies boost confidence and its conjunction to transiting Uranus in Aries that stared in early June can bring about new found independence when ideally used can bring about success as long as a clear eye is kept on goals and sensible achievement. This particular aspect more often than not can act as a reckless cannon firing impulsively towards gain but with no stability to insure a fruitful outcome. So pay attention! You may get some hint about this when Uranus goes retro on July 6 and eventually moves back into Pisces around August 15 affording everyone some review time. Don't be surprised if you ask yourself, "Did I really do that?" Uranus will go direct again in early December and move into Aries again around March 13, 2011 for the long haul. Transit Neptune is still retrograde in the sign of Aquarius until November 7 activating its usual confusion with regards to personal vision and if what we are creating has any actual practical basis in enhancing the current status of life. Neptune transits can really make us feel stupid as soon as some clarity is restored but remember that life is not that much fun if you can't laugh at your own stupidity once in a while. Heaven knows you humans can really be dumb at times!
With the onset of summer you'll be feeling a bit rebellious Aries so rather than be foolhardy, why not channel some of that energy into profitable networking? You'll definitely be in a ‘people mode' and a bit more flirty than usual. As a matter of fact when Saturn moves into Libra on July 21 some of you just might fall passionately in love. Make sure you are actually ‘in love' and not in love with the idea of being in love! If you are sure you've found that someone special then Venus in Libra on August 6 should mark a period of several weeks when your passionate fires should burn brightly. Well, when the Sun moves into your sign on June 21, the solar energy will have you looking forward to what you want to achieve for the upcoming solar year. This year in fact you might be considering making some rather big changes and it's time so start planning! During July, most Cancers should enjoy some enhanced sociability which for some can end up in romance. Maybe your theme should read Heaven Know EVERYTHING Goes because that's what this season will reflect. Oh sure, it starts out quietly enough with the Sun's entrance into Cancer on June 21 lighting up your 12th House of secrets and causing you to stay behind the scenes desiring a bit of seclusion. Well, that won't last. As soon as the Sun enters your sign on July 22 you'll enjoy four weeks of renewed energy and the feeling that you can wander triumphant throughout your world. Impromptu trips, shopping and just plain craziness will reign. Remain calm and balanced... they'll come around eventually. Around July 10-13 after transit Venus moves into Virgo, the past will rear up and bite you on the butt. The Sun in Leo on July 22 will throw the spotlight on business partnerships and successful collaborations so go for it especially if one of your partners comes up with a good money making idea. Someone from the past could pop up around July 13 with romance on the mind while transit Venus is navigating the sign of Virgo. This is a bit of a mind boggle for you so if it feels too strange don't engage. Creative juices will flow around July 25 so put them to good use at work and manifest something lucrative. Transit Mars in Libra on July 29 will bring along the travel bug and travel is possible although it might include business.
